چکیده

We study the revelation principle in multistage games for perfect Bayesian equilibium and sequential equilibrium. The question of whether or not the revelation principle holds is subtle, as expanding players’ opportunities for communication expands the set of consistent beliefs at off-path information sets. In settings with adverse selection but no moral hazard, Nash, perfect Bayesian, and sequential equilibrium are essentially equivalent, and a virtual-implementation version of the revelation principle holds. In general, we show that the revelation principle holds for weak perfect Bayesian equilibrium and for a stronger notion of perfect Bayesian equilibrium introduced by Myerson (1986). Our main result is that the latter notion of perfect Bayesian equilibrium is outcome-equivalent to sequential equilibrium when the mediator can tremble; this provides a revelation principle for sequential equilibrium. When the mediator cannot tremble, the revelation principle for sequential equilibrium can fail. Preliminary. The Revelation and Delegation Principles in Common Agency Games

In the context of common agency adverse-selection games we illustrate that the revelation principle cannot be applied to study equilibria of the multi-principal games. We then demonstrate that an extension of the taxation principle – what we term the “delegation principle” – can be used to characterize the set of all common agency equilibria. The Criticism of Revelation-order-based Exegesis from the Viewpoint of Bihjatpūr

‘Abdul-Ḥakīm Bihjatpūr is among the contemporary Qur’ān scholars who have turned to revelation-order-based exegesis, publishing a book on its basics, rules, principles and benefits. The current study aimed at the criticism and investigation of the revelation-order-based exegesis from the viewpoint of Bihjatpūr, using library research and the descriptive-analytical method, in order to show that ...

Philosophical justification of revelation in the view of Mulla Sadra

Molla Sadra has viewed revelation, vahy, to be the connection and unity of the Prophet’s spirit with intellectual and fantastic world. To establish such a state, one should cut off any attention from low desires and let wisdom govern over his worldly tendencies. In such a state intellectual and fantastic faculties find appropriate opportunity to attain their own perfections, namely to observ...

Multistage Situations

We introduce and analyze “multistage situations”, which generalize “multistage games” (which, in turn, generalize “repeated games”). One reason for this generalization is to avoid the perhaps unrealistic constraint inherent to noncooperative games that the set of strategy tuples must be a Cartesian product of the strategy sets of the players. Another reason is that in most economic and social a...
